I am Sirus- a proud father, a Tantric Daka, and one of the founders of Temple Synergy. What does that mean, "Tantric Daka"? I get asked this often and it's a funny question. Not because it is common knowledge, but because there is no straight anwser. To me, being a Daka is beyond definition. It can include serving as a bridge, a mirror, a friend, a lover, a healer, and a million other things. To me, the word "presence" comes to mind as the best word for what I try to provide. Whether I am simply serving as a witness to secrets once thought they would never share or facilitating a kundalini awakening, I am in the same space. When I come to work, I check my desires at the door and arrive fully present to what is needed in that moment to promote healing in both the individual(s) involved, and the world! People may think I bear the title for decorative purposes, and that's fine, but really it runs much deeper then that. It serves to announce to people that I have reached a certain level in my growth and am putting myself out there to serve, but more importantly it serves to remind me of who I have chosen to be. I wake up every morning and I look myself in the eyes and say, "I am Daka Sirus"! Then I follow through, one choice at a time. Please note that in no way am I claiming that as a Daka, I am above someone else in any way, or that I am through with my process of learning and growth. I strive to keep an open-mind and savor opportunities to deepen and evolve.
